Our Story
Unplug and Recharge was created by a few friends and our parents on New Year's Day -- 2025. We wanted to make a positive impact on our community while incorporating their passions and expertise. We decided to start a non-profit because we recognized how much screen time was isolating our peers and us from meaningful real-life interactions. We wanted to create a space where kids could connect, engage, and build friendships in person, away from the digital world. We believe that by fostering face-to-face communication, we can help other kids develop stronger social skills, build empathy, and create lasting bonds. Our mission is simple we want to help kids be kids—playing, laughing, and learning together in real life. In addition to our core purpose, we pledge to donate all of our proceeds to St. Jude's Children's Cancer Research Hospital, ensuring that our efforts not only benefited local communities but also supports children and families in need. With a heart for service, we envision a future where our work could make a meaningful difference both in the lives of the kids they helped and in the broader world.
Protecting Mental Well-being
Our Mission
At Unplug and Recharge, our mission is to raise awareness about the detrimental effects of constant digital connectivity on mental health on children. We strive to educate individuals about the benefits of mindfulness and the need for regular digital detox. Our organization is committed to providing resources and support for those seeking to achieve a healthier balance between technology use and mental well-being.
Our Vision
In the future, we plan to expand our non-profit to empower and reach more children with our services at no charge while running on donations and sponsors.
